"Catching a Glimpse"

What Can I Tell You? My book is an array of glimpses that I have written in many formats. Since I prefer short, succinct reports, I have begun with a haiku style. Haiku is quite new to me and tells a story briefly. It has to be brief since I usually limit myself to just seventeen syllables per offering. Here is an example: Shopping for produce (5) grabbing a handful of grapes (7) Hands slapped by small kids (5)It kind of hangs together, may have a message or some fun and maybe sadness. I have included quite a few family stories. I notice that I like stories with animals, who are on center stage or bit players. Watch for a peacock, dogs, or horses. Other characters are also in the mix. I've taken some liberties with odes and ballads. There may be a traditional poem or two. Some of my relatives (names changed) are here. I'm here too. Best wishes.
